Job Description
About the Role: To support enterprise application development and enhancement activities for a financial services project, covering backend microservices, frontend applications, API development, integration and cloud-native deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and enhance scalable Microservices-based applications and REST APIs.
- Develop responsive frontend applications using Angular and React.
- Work with HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development.
- Develop and support Micro Frontends (MFE) architecture where applicable.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend Microservices and REST APIs.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and deployment.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
- Work with Kafka for event-driven integration and asynchronous communication.
- Work with MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Deploy and support applications on AWS and Azure.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting and production support.
- Participate in Agile development, code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of working experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
- Strong experience in REST API development and integration.
- Strong experience with React.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with Micro Frontends (MFE).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Jenkins and Git and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Good experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application development and SDLC.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Node.js, Express.js or NestJS.
- Experience with GraphQL, Redux or Vue.js.
- Experience in financial services / banking projects.
- Experience with cloud-native application development and DevOps practices.
