Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager, Product Development
Responsibilities
- Drive and/or support the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and feasibility assessment to launch, post-implementation monitoring, and enhancements.
- Develop viable product propositions that are strategically aligned with the business goals, in collaboration with Distribution, Marketing, Actuarial and other stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive product documentation, including product specifications, policy contracts, policy illustrations, product summaries, and approval papers for internal and regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage product-related projects arising from regulatory changes, internal policy updates, or head office requirements.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support product positioning and enhancements.
- Provide ongoing product-related support to distribution channels and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Review marketing collaterals, product materials and training decks to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance.
- Partner with IT, Operations, Legal & Compliance and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth product implementation and resolve issues during development and launch.
Qualifications
- Recognised degree in Business, Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum experience
- For Senior Executive: 3 years of experience within life/health insurance, 2 years of relevant product development experience strongly preferred.
- For Assistant Manager: 5 years of experience within life/health insurance, 3 years of relevant product development experience and at least 1 year of team management experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in health insurance product lines and Singapore health insurance regulations will be an advantage.
- Creative mindset to innovate product solutions that balance commercial, customer, regulatory needs.
- Self-motivated and well-organised individual, attention to detail, resourceful, able to manage timeline of multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, project timelines, collaborate and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.
