Job Description

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School's primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching.

We are looking for a highly motivated and competent Senior Assistant Manager to join the Centre for Geroscience and Geromedicine at LKCMedicine to support the delivery of highimpact research and translation on aging by leading centre operations, research administration, grants and project portfolio management, governance support, local/international partnerships, commercialization, and outreach - thereby accelerating scientific discovery, clinical and industry collaboration, and societal impact aligned to NTU's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day research centre operations and ensure compliance with institutional, ethics, and biosafety requirements.

  • Lead end-to-end grants and project portfolio management, including proposal development, budgeting, tracking of milestones/expenditure, and reporting.

  • Plan and deliver scientific events (internal to international), managing speakers, logistics, vendors, sponsors, and postevent outputs.

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with academic, clinical, industry, and international stakeholders, including agreements and MOUs.

  • Support commercialisation and IP enablement, including invention disclosures, IP filings, licensing, and coordination with TTO and industry.

  • Effective management of biosample and biobank inventory.

  • Manage Centre communications, web and social media presence, and branding to showcase research and align with institutional guidelines.

Key Competencies and Requirements:

  • At least Bachelor degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology or related field Master or PhD degree in science/management is preferred.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experiences in academic/industrial environment, with end-to-end grants and/or project operations.

  • Proven coordination of multistakeholder center/program, committees, and events/conferences and experience with IP/commercialisation workflows and industry partnerships are preferred.

  • Demonstrated good knowledge, skills and expertise in supporting various research activities.

  • Equipped with effective organizational and interpersonal communications with excellent written, oral communication and computer skills.

  • A team player who is able to prioritize, multi-task and work collaboratively in a diverse workforce.
