About our group:

The Global Factory IT team is a global organization that delivers and operates mission‑critical IT systems, enabling Seagate's manufacturing operations worldwide. Based at the Woodlands site, our team partners closely with site factory operations, engineering, automation, infrastructure, and global IT teams to ensure 24x7 availability of shopfloor systems, manufacturing execution platforms, and factory data services. We play a key role in driving operational excellence by maintaining high system uptime, enabling efficient WIP flow, and continuously improving reliability, scalability, and automation across factory IT services. As part of a globally connected team, we work on real production‑impacting challenges, adopt modern technologies such as automation and AI‑assisted operations, and provide opportunities to develop deep domain expertise while contributing directly to Seagate's manufacturing competitiveness and long‑term strategy.

About the role - you will:

  • Maintain stable, secure, and highly available IT services to support a 24x7 manufacturing environment, ensuring prompt incident resolution
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and global IT teams to troubleshoot production‑impacting issues and implement sustainable fixes
  • Drive automation and GenAI adoption by documenting use cases, contributing knowledge artifacts, and enabling self‑service or AI‑assisted resolution for recurring issues
  • Improve operational resilience through root cause analysis, preventive actions, and continuous service optimization
  • Support system changes, upgrades, and new deployments with a strong focus on stability, security, and production impact

About you:

  • Strong ownership of production impacting systems
  • Calm and decisive under production pressure
  • Clear communication with factory stakeholders
  • Team oriented and dependable for 24×7 operations
  • Familiar and has working skills in Scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python)
  • Acquired relevant certifications (Microsoft, ITIL, etc.) is an added advantage
  • Obtained Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent/relevant field

Your experience includes:

  • 5 to 8+ years experiemce in IT infrastructure or systems support
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Windows Client Computer
    • Serial Connector Device
    • Networking fundamentals (LAN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP)
    • Factory or production environments
  • Proven work background in supporting 24×7 mission critical systems

Preferred Experience

  • Manufacturing Execution System or factory data platforms
  • Manufacturing / high volume factory operations
  • Scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python)
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, ITIL, etc.)
