Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will oversee complex accounting functions and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role involves managing investment portfolios accounting, preparing consolidated financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The candidate will have strong knowledge of investment accounting, financial instruments, and relevant tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Manage accounting for investment portfolios, including valuation, income recognition, and performance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) regulations and other relevant financial standards.
- Monitor and reconcile complex transactions related to securities, derivatives, and alternative investments.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for investment performance. Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications/Skill:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in investment or financial services.
- Strong understanding of investment accounting, financial instruments, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting and portfolio management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Bloomberg).
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of MAS guidelines and tax regulations for investment companies.
