About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Securities Settlements Analyst to join a high-performing operations team within a leading global financial institution. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a keen eye for operational risk to gain regional market exposure and work closely with trading and sales teams.

You will be part of a team that ensures the timely and accurate settlement of securities transactions while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely settlement of securities trades in compliance with market deadlines and regulations
• Perform pre-matching and fail trade management to support Japan market hours
• Liaise with brokers, counterparties, and agent banks via email and phone to resolve breaks and discrepancies
• Maintain operational controls and risk-mitigation processes
• Prepare and review reports for internal stakeholders
• Manage high volumes of transactions with accuracy under strict time constraints
• Work closely with internal teams such as trading desks and inventory management

Who We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience in securities settlements or a similar financial operations function
• Familiarity with equities markets, preferably in a Japan or Asia-Pacific context
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and strong risk awareness
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office experience with financial systems is an advantage

• Working Hours: Aligned with Japan market hours (SG-based team)
• Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension, subject to business needs)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid work model may apply
