SAP PaPM Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP PaPM Lead to drive the design, implementation, and delivery of SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) solutions for enterprise finance transformation initiatives.

This role will focus on profitability analysis, cost allocation, revenue allocation, forecasting, planning, and what-if simulation processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on SAP PaPM expertise, finance domain knowledge, leadership capability, and experience delivering large-scale SAP transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and support of SAP PaPM solutions.
• Drive solution architecture and modelling for:Cost AllocationRevenue AllocationPlanning & ForecastingProfitability AnalysisWhat-If Simulations
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable functional and technical solution designs.
• Lead SAP PaPM configuration including:Calculation FunctionsAllocation LogicEnrichment FunctionsValidation RulesJoins & ViewsSimulation Models
• Guide and mentor PaPM consultants on modelling standards, solution design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting approaches.
• Integrate SAP PaPM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/BW4HANA, and related enterprise systems.
• Validate and reconcile PaPM outputs against finance and operational source systems.
• Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover, deployment, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Work closely with Finance, FP&A, IT, and project stakeholders to manage risks, dependencies, and solution decisions.
• Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and operational handover to support and BAU teams.
• Ensure solution quality, scalability, maintainability, and compliance with project governance standards.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP PaPM modelling and configuration.
• Proven experience leading SAP PaPM implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of:Cost AllocationRevenue AllocationProfitability AnalysisPlanning & ForecastingFinancial Modelling
• Expertise in SAP PaPM functions including:CalculationAllocationEnrichmentValidationJoinsViewsWhat-If Simulation
• Strong experience integrating SAP PaPM with SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW/BW4HANA.
• Good finance and management reporting knowledge including:P&LCost CentersProfit CentersProduct ProfitabilityCustomer Profitability
• Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and reconciliation capabilities.
• Experience supporting testing, deployment, go-live, and post-production support activities.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced project environments and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading large-scale SAP transformation or finance transformation programs.
• Exposure to integrated planning and enterprise performance management initiatives.
• Experience with SAP SAC, SAP BPC, SAP BW, or SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Familiarity with enterprise analytics and reporting solutions.
• Ability to onboard quickly and support critical project timelines.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a SAP PaPM Lead or Senior SAP PaPM Consultant.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale SAP finance or profitability management projects.
• Strong hands-on implementation, enhancement, and support experience in SAP PaPM.
• Experience working with finance, FP&A, and enterprise reporting stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
