Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Support cum Sales Executive with a strong background in the marine, oil & gas industries. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing government projects across Singapore and the Asia Pacific region, with a solid understanding of tendering processes, technical specifications, and marine safety equipment. A good grasp of Letter of Credit (LC) procedures, shipping terms, and customer payment follow-ups is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Support:

  • Assist the sales team in preparing quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
  • Coordinatewith internal departments to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project documentation.
  • Support post-sales activities including order processing, invoicing, and customer follow-up.
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue payments from customers.

Sales Execution:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the marine and oil & gas sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and key clients in the Asia Pacific region.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales support and/or sales roles.
  • Proven experience handling government projects and tenders in Singapore and the Asia Pacific.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications, especially in marine safety equipment.
  • Background in marine, oil & gas industries is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of Letter of Credits (LCs) and shipping terms (e.g., Incoterms).
  • Capable of following up with customers on overdue payments and resolving payment issues.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and CRM systems.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits as required.
  • Achievesales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

Tender & Project Management:

  • Manage the full tendering process including bid preparation, submission, and follow-up.
  • Interpret and analyse technical specifications and requirements in tender documents.

Liaise with engineering and procurement teams to ensure compliance with tender requirements.
