MASE E&C Pte Ltd is a leading company in the Marine, Construction, and Oil & Gas sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Finance Executive to oversee our full spectrum of accounting functions and support project-related financial operations. This position requires strong knowledge of construction project accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and handle the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Monitor project budgets, perform cost allocation and variance analysis, and ensure accurate project cost tracking
- Review and process project progress claims, subcontractor payments, retention sums, and final accounts
- Handle GST submissions, corporate tax matters, and liaise with IRAS and external auditors
- Assist in cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, internal controls, and accounting standards
- Coordinate with project managers and procurement team to ensure cost effectiveness and budget control
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and workflow improvements where necessary
- Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting needs
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a finance/accounting role within the construction & engineering industry
- Proven experience managing full sets of accounts independently
- Strong understanding of project cost control, construction claims, and financial reporting
- Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST regulations, and IRAS compliance
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
