Key responsibilities
1. Sales and business development
Lead generation: Actively seek new catering opportunities through prospecting, cold calls, networking, and industry events.
Customer acquisition: Respond to telephone, online inquiries and present suitable catering solutions to potential customers.
Sales strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed individual monthly or annual sales targets.
Contract negotiation: Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts, and negotiate terms and prices with clients.
2. Client relationship management
Build rapport: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
Consultation: Assist clients with menu selection, event planning, and package customization to meet their specific needs and budget.
Follow-up: Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and identify opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
3. Event planning and execution
Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including culinary, operations, and logistics, to ensure smooth and timely delivery and setup of catering events.
Documentation: Accurately process catering orders and maintain records, including contracts, event details, and invoices.
Operational support: Ensure the overall smooth operation of catering functions, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
4. Reporting and administration
Performance tracking: Track sales activities, manage the client database, and forecast revenue.
Analysis and reporting: Prepare and submit regular sales reports to management, reviewing sales performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Market intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer demand to inform sales strategies and product development
5. Required skills and qualifications
Education: A diploma or degree in Hotel and F&B Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the F&B, catering, or hospitality industries.
Core competencies: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Personal attributes: Candidates should be self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient, with a passion for sales and customer service.
Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office
