SALES DIRECTOR

Job Description

• Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the marine industry, including shipping companies, shipyards, and maritime suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry partners.
• Oversee and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop targeted campaigns, promotions, and product offerings.
• Negotiate major contracts and agreements with key customers and distributors.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies in all sales activities.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of sales experience in marine equipment, navigational systems, or related industries
• Strong knowledge of marine chemicals and maritime industry requirements.
• Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
• Able to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work on weekend, public holiday and night shift
