Job Summary
We are seeking for a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Executive to spearhead our sales initiatives within the rapidly expanding e-waste recycling and IT asset disposition industry. This key role involves uncovering new market opportunities, cultivating strategic alliances, and accelerating revenue growth through innovative and sustainable e-waste management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new clients for e-waste collection, recycling, and IT asset disposal services.
- Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets across both B2B and B2C channels.
- Maintain a strong and active sales pipeline through consistent prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities.
- Deliver compelling solution presentations, product demonstrations, and client workshops to showcase service value.
- Conduct market research to identify and target potential clients across various industries with IT asset disposition needs.
- Initiate outreach efforts through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn engagement, and participation in industry events.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
- Understand client requirements and deliver IT asset disposal solutions that address their needs
- Support the preparation of tailored proposals and quotations that align with client needs and expectations
- Lead negotiations and close deals in accordance with company pricing structures and commercial policies
- Co-ordinate with operations teams for successful implementation
Market & Industry Knowledge
- Identify and pursue new market segments including corporate clients, electronics retailers, manufacturers, and government agencies.
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand evolving customer needs and emerging trends in e-waste management.
- Provide actionable market feedback to support the development and enhancement of products and services.
Partnerships & Outreach
- Collaborate with NGOs, sustainability consultants, and government agencies to advocate for and promote responsible e-waste management practices.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and sustainability forums to enhance brand visibility and build strategic relationships.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor and track sales performance, pipeline development, and client feedback to ensure continuous improvement
- Provide regular reports, insights, and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet client expectations.
- Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and account plans.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to promote the company's capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in sustainability, waste management, or tech sectors.
- Min 2 years of experience in sales or business development (preferably in ITAD, IT services, or recycling).
- Strong understanding of e-waste regulations, recycling processes, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, or related field.
