The Regional Manager, Ocean Freight Systems and Processes, Asia is responsible for leading strategic initiatives and operational excellence in Asia, driving key business outcomes and ensuring alignment with the organization's vision. This role works closely with the daily operations and strategy teams, ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient, and compliant shipment processing.
- Analyze existing operational procedures to identify bottlenecks and improve productivity. This involves documenting, re-engineering, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) incompliance with company standards.
- Lead the design, deployment and execution of strategic Ocean freight systems and processes for business process improvement and transformation initiatives, in conjunction with Global & Regional leads.
- Lead the Ocean Freight -related strategic business process improvement and transformation projects.
- Work collaboratively with country managers/ Operation teams and supporting functions to define business needs, create respective business cases and implement the required solutions.
- Plan and implement business process improvements in the nature of process automation and digitalization, organizational changes, process transformation, policy adherence, and standardization.
- Establish a solid implementation process to implement new accounts
- Establish and enforce standards and KPI that drive quality, eliminate rework, and enable the standardization of processes.
- Identify and define opportunities for driving process and data quality.
- Focus on how value is added for customers, eliminate waste and non-value adding activities. Balance productivity and control with profitability
- Maintain the Ocean freight process blueprint, aligned with Ocean Freight Target Operating Model.
- Seek opportunities to reduce unit cost and improve GP control across Ocean freight and operational functions at desk and supervisor level.
