Summary
We are seeking a regional Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to join our Safety & Security team in APAC. This is a regional advisory and internal consulting role, partnering closely with business and functional leaders across multiple countries.
You will play a key role in shaping EHS programs, advising stakeholders, and driving practical risk‑reduction initiatives that protect our people, property, and reputation. This is not a site‑based role, but one focused on regional guidance, oversight, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted EHS advisor to APAC stakeholders, providing guidance on occupational health, safety, and environmental matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Develop, maintain, and improve EHS policies, programs, and procedures aligned with regional regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts across APAC through structured reviews, audits, and consultation with regional and local teams.
- Partner with business leaders to identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and support preventive safety programs.
- Track corrective actions and follow‑up items to timely closure, providing transparency on progress and outcomes.
- Deliver EHS training and knowledge‑sharing sessions to internal stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Provide clear, data‑driven updates to management on EHS performance, trends, and program effectiveness.
- Benchmark industry best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of regional EHS frameworks.
- Liaise verbally and in writing in Mandarin with colleagues and partners in China and other APAC locations to address EHS‑related matters.
- Support regional and global EHS initiatives and participate in project and change‑management activities as required.
- Travel within APAC to support business needs.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years experience in an EHS or related role within multinational and multicultural environments.
- Demonstrated exposure to APAC EHS regulatory frameworks across multiple countries.
- Business‑level proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) to support collaboration with China‑based and non‑English‑speaking stakeholders (e.g., B3 O Level Chinese or equivalent).
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while influencing without direct authority.
- Proven organizational, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- High level of discretion and experience handling sensitive or confidential information appropriately.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required.
