Job Summary
Manage comprehensive quantity surveying tasks including measurement, estimating, tendering, procurement, contract administration, and cost control to support project delivery and financial accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Carry out quantity take-off for projects by sourcing suppliers and sub-contractors and collating prices for comparison
- Prepare tender and contract documents to support project bidding processes
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders to ensure competitive and accurate pricing
- Perform risk assessment, value management, and cost control to optimize project budgets
- Collect, sort, and verify bidding calculations of quantities for accuracy and completeness
- Review tender documents, drawings, and quantity take-offs to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Prepare quotations for technical works, materials, and manpower to support procurement decisions
- Purchase materials in alignment with project needs and budget controls
- Handle subcontractor payments, progress claims, variation orders, and preparation of letters of award to maintain project financial flow
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with strong knowledge of reading specifications and building drawings
- Experience in tender preparation and purchasing materials
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders
