About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to ensure our software is robust, reliable, and meets the highest quality standards. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to create and execute comprehensive test strategies, develop automated tests, and continuously improve our QA processes in a dynamic fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies.
- Design and maintain test cases using tools like Xmind and Cucumber, ensuring full coverage of business logic and user flows.
- Develop and contribute to automated test pipelines to minimize manual testing and accelerate release cycles.
- Translate workflows into meaningful test scenarios to validate product functionality and system behavior.
- Investigate, reproduce, and document production issues, and work closely with engineers to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
- Monitor and improve test coverage across services and modules.
- Participate in sprint planning, test case reviews, and release validation activities.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Robot Framework.
- Proven ability to write effective test cases and scenarios independently.
- Working knowledge of test automation (Java or Python preferred).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems, especially Git.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Clear communicator with a user-first approach and strong team collaboration.
- Reading & Writing of Chinese language is a must to communicate with Chinese native speaking teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Understanding of trading systems, with knowledge of FIX, WebSocket, or REST protocols.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to code coverage tools such as JaCoCo.
- Experience in mobile automation using Appium and browser automation with Selenium.
