Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer with solid experience in Regression Testing and End-to-End Testing, supported by strong technical skills in JSON, API validation, and SQL. The ideal candidate must be adaptable, able to quickly understand complex business workflows, and capable of translating requirements into effective test scenarios using internal automated regression frameworks.

Knowledge of financial products and entities will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain regression and end-to-end test cases to ensure system stability and functional accuracy.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into well-structured test plans and test scenarios.
• Review code logic where necessary to troubleshoot issues, validate implementations, and collaborate closely with developers on defect resolution.
• Work extensively with JSON, API testing, and SQL queries to validate data integrity and system behavior.
• Document test results clearly and comprehensively, ensuring traceability and alignment with QA standards.
• Support BAU testing activities when required, ensuring smooth delivery and timely escalation of issues.
• Adapt quickly to new tools, systems, and domain knowledge, especially in a fast-paced environment.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Min 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Test Engineer or QA Engineer.
• Ability to interpret and analyze code logic to troubleshoot defects and validate functional behavior.
• Proficient in JSON, API testing, and SQL.
• Proven experience in regression testing and end-to-end testing.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and perform under pressure.
• Experience writing detailed test plans, test scripts, and test documentation.
• Willingness to support operational testing requirements (BAU) when needed.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and entities.
• Exposure to performance testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and scripting for test automation.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related QA integration practices.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git.
• Solid grounding in software QA methodologies, frameworks, and processes.
