Job Description

We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer with experience in geotechnical field, report writing skills. The QA/QC Engineer should be knowledgeable in analytical, problem-solving, and follow-through capability.

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across engineering, design, and project teams.

To be successful as a QA/QC Engineer, you should be independent, demonstrate strong analytical thinking and be able to have prompt, open and direct communications with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project expectations. Outstanding candidates should be meticulous, detail oriented, demonstrate willingness to learn and display a positive attitude with a drive for results.

A day in the life of QA/QCEngineer

  • Quality Documentation & Control: Develop and maintain QAQC documents: ITPs, forms, checklists, NCR templates, and registers. Maintain document control-versioning, traceability, and distribution.
  • Training & Competency: Develop Deliver QAQC induction and product-specific training to engineers and supervisors. Support competency assessments and refresher training cycles.
  • Audits & Compliance: Conduct quarterly internal audits and issue findings with corrective actions. Track audit and NCR closure to completion.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Raise NCRs, perform root-cause analysis, and verify closure of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Project Quality Monitoring: Work with PMs and Design Engineers to develop and review weekly project quality dashboards tracking ITP compliance, NCR status, and testing results.
  • Quality Reviews & Stakeholder Coordination: Prepare inputs for Monthly Quality Review Meetings and present quality performance. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and third-party auditors as required. Review method statements and critical work procedures
  • Maintain lessons-learned register and drive quality improvement initiatives

Note: This role requires candidates to perform regular site walks at outdoor construction sites

You will need:

  • A professional degree in Civil, Geotechnical or related Engineering field.
  • 1-5 years of relevant working experience in geotechnical field, Civil works or Oil & Gas projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), AutoCAD, Plaxis 2D and Plaxis 3D
  • A valid Supervise Construction Work for WSH certificate (preferable)
  • VBA/Python Knowledge is advantageous
