Job Summary:
The Public Area Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and other guest-facing spaces. The role ensures a welcoming, clean, and pleasant environment for all guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain hotel public areas including:
Lobbies and entrances
Hallways and corridors
Elevators and stairwells
Public restrooms
Lounge areas and business centers - Dust, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces as required.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners regularly.
- Restock supplies in public restrooms (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow hotel health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Use and store cleaning materials and equipment safely and properly.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or events when needed.
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Follow daily cleaning schedules and checklists.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in hospitality is an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good physical condition ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and pride in work.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards
