Project engineer

About the role

As a Project Engineer in our company you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, from planning and coordination to on-site supervision. This full-time position is based near Harbor Front.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery

2. Liaise with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to coordinate project activities and to clarify technical details and resolve discrepancies before submission

3. Prepare technical documents and submission to obtain approval from consultants and architects

4. Follow up on approvals, maintain records of correspondence, and update project documentation accordingly

5. Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards

6. Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed

7. Prepare detailed progress reports and presentations in meetings to resolve design, construction, and operational issues.

8. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and procedures.

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction field

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in project and civil engineering in the construction sector

3. Solid understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques

4. Strong ability to prepare, organize, and manage technical documents and submissions.

5. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents

6. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills

7. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

8. Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
