About the role
We are looking for a Project Engineer with an Electrical Engineering and Fire & Gas Detection Systems background to manage and execute projects efficiently and ensure compliance with technical and safety requirements. This position is located in the North Region and will involve both office-based and on-site work. Candidates who are able to start immediately will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and execute Fire & Gas Detection System projects in accordance with project requirements and timelines
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
Prepare and maintain project schedules, progress reports, and documentation using Microsoft Project
Review technical specifications, drawings, and system design to ensure compliance with project and safety standards
Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings including layout, wiring, and system schematics
Support procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Attend project meetings and provide technical support when required
Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, or related field)
3-4 years of relevant experience in Electrical and Fire & Gas Detection Systems
Familiar with Honeywell Fire & Gas Detection products
Knowledge of project management principles
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project
Good communication and coordination skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
