Job Description

The Programme Executive facilitates, organises and conducts children and youth programmes and provides administrative support to the children and youth team. The incumbent will be involved in the coordination of tuition program, support the extended childminding educational program for children aged 3-8 years, and be involved in youth work and outreach to the families, children & youth community at Jalan Kukoh.

Job Responsibilities

1.1Community Programmes

  • Administer engagement activities, including procurement, logistics, and onsite distribution with support from community volunteers.
  • Maintain auditable records and track the status of procured/donated supplies and their distribution.
  • Conduct orientation and training briefings for new donors and volunteers.
  • Follow up with beneficiaries on wellbeing and needs based on befrienders feedback, and provide basic case management support when required.
  • Schedule and coordinate volunteers for community engagement activities involving children and youth.
  • Support groupwork activities and prepare routine statistical reports (monthly and annual).

1.2Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

  • Participate in community social service activities.
  • Build professional relationships with clients and other professionals/stakeholders.
  • Management of volunteers.

1.3Conduct Case Assessment and Review

  • Conduct needs and intake assessments to assess programme eligibility.
  • Close cases when sustainable outcomes for clients, families, and communities are achieved.
  • Maintain basic case documentation, including case notes and contact logs.
  • Escalate community cases with unmet needs or risk concerns to the FSS Manager.

1.4Community Engagement Work

  • Plan and administer group work interventions and community engagement events.
  • Support the development of new community programmes.
  • Implement community development initiatives.
  • Gather programme data for service improvement/review and ground feedback.

1.5Others

  • Provide stewardship in the use of resources allocated.
  • Undertake any other projects or duties assigned.
  • Respond to crisis situations based on organizational standard operating procedures.

2.0 Requirements for the position:

  • Minimum Degree / Diploma in Social Services or a related field.
  • 3 - 4 years of relevant working experience experience in volunteer/event management is an advantage.
  • Resourceful, proactive, responsible, client-centric, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates integrity, resilience, a willingness to learn, and a strong passion for serving vulnerable seniors and low-income families in the community.
  • Keen to contribute to programmes that promote aging-in-place.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills (dialect proficiency is a plus).
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office and report writing skills.
  • Committed to safeguarding client's confidentiality in accordance with PDPA regulations.
  • Hands-on, able to multi-task, work independently, and able to commit to work on occasional Saturdays.
