Prof Chua Nam Hai Group - Assistant Research Officer

We are seeking for a highly motivated candidate and good team player to join our group as an Assistant Research Officer/ Research Officer (ARO/RO). The successful applicants will be involved in projects related to leaf senescence, and transcriptional regulation in Arabidopsis thaliana and brassica crops.

Responsibilities:

. To handle general molecular work such as DNA/RNA extraction, gene cloning, recombinant protein purification, western blot analysis and qRT-PCR analysis, phenotyping and genotyping

. To generate and take care of transgenic Arabidopsisthaliana plants and their functional characterization

. To create weekly work progress report.

. To manage assigned general laboratory duties

Requirements:

. BSc (Hons)/ MSc in a life science discipline

. Highly motivated individuals that are disciplined, keen learners, and independent workers

. A good background in plant physiology, molecular biology or genetics will be added advantage
