Production Support Analyst

Description

We are seeking a Production Support Analyst with expertise in Red Hat Linux, Shell Scripting, Java, Connect Direct, IBM MQ, and Host-to-Host file transfer protocols such as SFTP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing production support, troubleshooting applications, and ensuring smooth operations of our production environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for applications running on Red Hat Linux environments.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and monitoring purposes.
• Support Java-based applications and troubleshoot issues related to Java environments.
• Manage file transfers using Connect Direct and IBM MQ.
• Coordinate host-to-host file transfers using SFTP to ensure data integrity and security.
• Work closely with development teams to resolve production issues and implement enhancements.
• Document processes and procedures related to production support activities.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a production support role.
• Strong proficiency in Red Hat Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Experience with Java application troubleshooting and support.
• Familiarity with Connect Direct for file transfers.
• Knowledge of IBM MQ for messaging and integration.
• Understanding of host-to-host file transfer protocols, specifically SFTP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
