Position Summary
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, and services required by the company. The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services according to company requirements
- Obtain and compare quotations to ensure cost‑effective procurement
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments
- Ensure purchased items meet quality, specification, and safety standards
- Maintain proper procurement records, documentation, and supplier database
- Monitor inventory levels and support stock planning
- Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing
- Support contract negotiation and supplier evaluation
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and procurement policies
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
- Relevant experience in procurement or purchasing roles
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
- Ability to negotiate pricing and delivery terms
- Good organizational and documentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
- Good communication and coordination skills
