Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform and Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, platform containerisation, and open-source automation tools. This role is critical to streamlining IT infrastructure operations, accelerating deployment lifecycles, and enabling platform scalability across on-perm, hybrid and cloud-native environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with a passion for leveraging open-source tools to drive efficiency and reliability in IT services delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Solutions Architect, project team, post support team and customer IT team in deploying/implementing modern IT solutions on platform and IT automation solutions
- Collaborate with network engineering and operations teams to define automation requirements and solutions
- Develop, test, and deploy playbook using automation tools such as Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and Terraform
- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
- Document developed playbooks, workflows, and automation processes
- Document and share reusable automation modules and best practices across teams
- Troubleshoot and support existing automation frameworks and scripts
- Engage in the maintenance and support activities, which include perform troubleshooting, incident response, and patching in a timely manner
- Perform Scripting and coding (Such as Python, Bash/shell, YAML) when required
- Possess strong Interest in implementation and support of Linux-variant, Opensource & Devops/Containers technologies, automation platform, middleware and modernize IT technologies
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automation, infrastructure, or DevOps roles within IT services
- Basic understanding of network architectures and configuration workflows.
- Experience with the containerization platform tools
- Hands-on experience with container lifecycle management, and Kubernetes (on-prem or managed) and familiar with the containerization tools such as Red Hat OpenShift.
- Strong hands-on experience with Automation tool preferably on Ansible AAP, Terraform and playbook development.
- Proven experience in network automation infrastructure tasks with Cisco ACI, network switches, F5, and Checkpoint firewall etc is an added advantage
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, YAML
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking fundamentals
- Experience with Git, CI/CD Tools such as GitHub, Jenkins etc, and automation best practices
- Familiar with YAML, Jinja2 templates, REST APIs, and JSON/XML
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and acquire of modern technologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting
