Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for platform-related incidents and escalations.
- Maintain and support enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.
- Manage and monitor infrastructure tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Support SAN/NAS storage environments and troubleshoot related issues.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure platform reliability and performance.
- Support and contribute to infrastructure modernization and platform transformation initiatives.
- Work with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain automation and monitoring scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and government standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with enterprise virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere, Hyper-V.
- Solid understanding of SAN/NAS storage technologies.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
- Experience managing and maintaining monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
- Familiarity with container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience working in or with government IT environments is a plus.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Desired Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Administrator (RHCSA)
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certification
