Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a People & Culture Executive who is passionate about building meaningful workplace experiences while ensuring operational compliance. This isn't a traditional HR admin role. We need someone who understands that strong internal culture, clear communication, and fair pay practices are essential to business success - and who wants to take ownership of making that a reality.

You'll play a pivotal role in employee engagement, training support, internal branding, and payroll process alignment. You won't be manually running payroll, but you'll be the person who ensures we meet Progressive Wage Model (PWM) and MOM requirements without being micromanaged.

This is a strategic support role with growth potential, ideal for someone who wants to be at the heart of a values-driven company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Culture, Engagement & Internal Branding

Champion company values and foster a positive, inclusive culture.

Organise employee engagement activities, team bonding sessions, and festive celebrations.

Drive visibility of internal milestones, achievements, and staff contributions through noticeboards, email, or internal updates.

Support employer branding efforts (e.g. photo-taking, internal stories, social media content, optional but welcome).

Be the heartbeat of our workplace - approachable, creative, and people-first.

2. People Operations & Compliance

Manage end-to-end onboarding/offboarding and ensure accurate staff documentation (contracts, ICs, permits, etc.).

Track and update attendance, leave, MCs, and overtime logs.

Prepare and verify payroll inputs (e.g. OT, claims, adjustments) before submitting to payroll staff.

Ensure strict compliance with MOM regulations and the PWM wage ladder, including CPF, itemised payslips, and correct salary mapping by job role.

Liaise with payroll processors to flag errors, submit adjustments, and ensure timely payouts.

Support HR audit readiness and maintain clean, accessible records.

3. Recruitment & Onboarding Support

Draft and post job ads on platforms like MyCareersFuture or JobStreet.

Shortlist candidates, schedule interviews, and coordinate feedback with hiring managers.

Maintain recruitment trackers and update hiring documentation.

Ensure a smooth onboarding experience, including briefing sessions, orientation, and probation tracking.

Conduct post-onboarding check-ins and gather feedback to improve the hiring journey.

4. Training & Staff Development

Coordinate mandatory training schedules (e.g. WSQ courses, CDFOS, on-the-job refreshers).

Track staff certifications and ensure compliance with regulatory training requirements.

Maintain training logs and support SkillsFuture or SSG grant claims when applicable.

Help onboard new hires into a learning culture and track probation evaluations.

What We're Looking For

1-5 years of experience in HR, admin, or people ops - preferably in SME or service-based environments.

Working knowledge of Singapore's Employment Act, MOM regulations, and PWM guidelines.

Detail-oriented and proactive - you spot compliance issues before they become audit flags.

Warm communicator who can relate to staff from all backgrounds.

Able to juggle structure (payroll, SOPs) and spontaneity (team events, internal comms).

Proficient in Google Sheets, Excel, and digital HR/payroll tools.
