This advertisement is for the Overhaul Business Manager position located out of SAESL, Singapore.
This role is within Aftermarket Operations, and more specifically Off-Wing. The successful candidate will be located at the Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) shop in region, on site in the joint venture facility.
With TotalCare LTSA shop visits the leading source of revenue & profit generation for Civil Aerospace, coupled with the necessity to keep our customers flying, enabling & ensuring excellence in MRO performance is a leading business priority. The successful candidates will lead an Overhaul Support Team responsible for governing and managing the shop visits of Rolls-Royce engines under LTSA TotalCare agreements, right across the MRO gated process.
The role of Overhaul Business Manager presents an excellent opportunity, to drive, enable & ensure Safety, Operational, Cost, Commercial & Quality performance in the mentioned MRO bases, through the effective implementation & continuous improvement of the MRO Operating Management System to manage Supplier Performance effectively, including, ensure effective In-Contract Management, effectively manage Risk & BCM, whilst maintaining a relationship with the MRO bases that is underpinned by Rolls-Royce values and behaviours.
Key Accountabilities
. Understand and drive performance of the MRO base, but also the Rolls-Royce enabling functions through the Operating Management System and the continuous improvement of it.
. Establish a Safety First culture across the Overhaul Support Teams, and influence that of the MRO bases.
. Understand the operational plan (SIOP) & what that means quarter on quarter in terms of product mix, work-scope type, volumes.
. Own the Rolls-Royce active operational plan for the MRO base, ensuring control of the plan in our executive ERP system to ensure informs our Airline Support Teams & customers, but also owning the execution of the plan with the on-time delivery of shop visits & close operational governance to enable.
. Lead the Turnaround-Time (TRT) improvement process and improvement plan, driving performance through understanding performance by workscope, and therefore the levers and enablers that need to be delivered across the Rolls-Royce enterprise and the MRO base to drive performance.
. Support capability development programmes within the MRO bases, including retained repair development.
. Responsible for Shop Visit Cost control, compliance to the DOA process and driving the consumption of Serviceable Used Material.
. Work closely with the procurement organisation to understand our contractual obligations & ensure close working regarding operational inputs to commercial matters.
. Work closely with the Airline Support Teams across Aftermarket Operations to optimise MRO performance but also lend to Customer experience.
. Support the on time closure of quality investigations in shop.
. Establish and develop working relationships at both senior management and working levels across the MRO base.
. Provide power plant technical and quality assurance support to the shop.
Job Requirements
. Minimum of 3 years experience of working in a Part 145 or MRO environment within the Aerospace industry, or strong Operational background in a part 21 environment.
. Strong technical grounding - understanding of engine components, system and functionality.
. Experience in Operational roles previously preferable.
. Experience leading teams.
. Good business acumen.
. Excellent communication and written reporting skills in English language
