Location: looking for Malaysians staying at Johor

Job Purpose : Communicate, Plan and Execution of port call planning, Provide professional services that meet/exceed Principal/ship masters

Duties and Responsibilities :

Port Call Planning / Execution

  1. Understand port call requirement and expectation of Principal/Ship master
  2. Execute port call turnaround in the most cost-effective and expeditious
  3. Closely monitor and update stakeholders on port call progress
  4. Ensure Principals best interests are always.

Effective Communication

1. Concise and timely communication with authorised recipients and

2. This include but not limiting to routine pre-arrival, port call updates and post-call follow-ups.

Statutory Declarations of a Port Call

Timely and truthful declarations to relevant government agencies relating to vessel call, not limiting to

  1. Immigration and Checkpoint Authorities (ICA)
  2. Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)
  3. Customs and Excise Department
  4. National Environment Agency (NEA)
  5. Security/Enforcement Agencies
  6. Operators / Management of facility involved

On-Site Coordination

Physical attendance onboard ships or sites when necessary, providing on-site coordination of services and deliveries.

Provide local expert advice

Keeping abreast of latest development in port regulations, industry and ISS Policies and Procedures.

HSSE/Legal Compliance

Ensure all services provided comply with local regulations/guidelines set out by relevant government agencies and ISS Policies/Procedures

Training

Timely completion of trainings assigned

Utilisation of ISS Systems

Ensure full utilisation of all ISS systems (ONEDA and Optics) according to Standard Operating Procedures.

At least 1 year of working experience either

In ship agency service industry with track records

In Oil/Gas/Offshore industry As Engine or deck cadet

Qualification

  • At least GCE O Level with credit in English and Mathematics
  • Diploma in Maritime Studies

Other requirements

  1. Willing to work irregular and outside office hour
  2. Physical fit for ship boarding in anchorages, container ports, petrochemical installation and shipyards
  3. Not an Aquaphobia and/or Acrophobia
  4. QHSSE - Health, Safety, Security and Environment (Mandatory requirements)
  • Championing appropriate health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) risk assessments becomes part of the company culture.
  • Accountable for the implementation and monitoring of actions that mitigate risk and enhance controls/processes, to ensure that QHSSE of all Inchcape Stakeholders are known and staff/suppliers/crew feel empowered and accountable for their own safety.
  • Ensure full compliance with, and implementation of, the Inchcape QHSSE Management System
  • Ensure that appropriate resources are allocated to control QHSSE risk
  • Accountable for ensuring that clear, appropriate and timely communication channels are put in place to report and manage QHSSE risk
