Job Descriptions
- Possess in depth knowledge of mid to high end Cisco networking products and features with deep understanding of interoperability and dependencies
- Provide remote technical assistance and onsite assistance when remote support is deemed insufficient covering one or more of below:
1. Problem Determination
- Assist Client in identifying problems or defects of the hardware or software, perform faulty hardware component replacement as required.
- Work with OEM should problem requires escalation to product development team until problem source identification till resolution.
2. Product Update/Fixes Distribution
- Assist Client on the application of software updates / fixes to Client's system using reasonable skill and care, and in accordance to the standard IBM upgrade procedure.
3. Technical Services
- Assist Client in the installation and configuration of new or existing hardware/software, changing existing configuration of the hardware and/or software when necessary between both parties, either as a software defect or for resolution of a product-specific, task-oriented issue.
- Manage and maintain server, network, and firewall systems
- Operate a wide range of network administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Cisco, Juniper, HP, Palo Alto, and Extreme network equipment
- Perform troubleshooting to resolve network issues
- Perform routine backup of network configuration for network equipment including firewall rules
- Plan out network installation and/or upgrade project, assign milestone tasks to support personnel and meet company deadlines for full implementation, including network and user station set-ups and permissions, installation of all software and end-user security
- Monitor network performance andintegrity
- Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
- Plan, schedule, and implementnetwork maintenance activities which include firmware upgrades, hardwarereplacement and network infrastructure augments/changes
- Implement approved routing policychanges/corrections to mitigate points of traffic congestion on the network dueto planned or unplanned incidents
- Communicate effectively withinternal and external audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
- Maintains high quality customerservice to internal and external groups when needed
- Hands on understanding of Cisco /Juniper products including switches, routers, firewalls and VPNs
- Understanding of OSI layers
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and equivalent.
- More than 3 years of experience supporting network infrastructure
- Industry certifications such as CCNP is a must other certification such as CCNA/ CCIE, CCSA, JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIE, and PCNSE will be an added advantage.
- Equip with practical skills and experience in network equipment such as LAN Switches, WAN Routers, Wireless Controllers, Access Points, Load Balancers and Firewalls in a multi-vendor environment such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortigate, F5, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto, Bluecoat, etc.
- Possess strong verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills.

- Experience in network administration, Cisco and Juniper environments is preferred
