Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, and technically competent Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, installing, maintaining, and supervising mechanical systems and equipment while ensuring operational efficiency, quality standards, safety compliance, and timely project execution.

The candidate should have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and experience in managing mechanical engineering activities, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and oversee mechanical engineering systems, equipment, and installations.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, layouts, and engineering documents.
• Supervise mechanical installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor project progress and ensure mechanical works are completed according to approved specifications and timelines.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment functionality, performance, and compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, material requirements, and project documentation.
• Ensure proper maintenance and efficient operation of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Identify mechanical faults, technical issues, and operational challenges, and recommend effective solutions.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor the utilization of materials, equipment, manpower, and other project resources.
• Assist in procurement by reviewing technical specifications and evaluating mechanical equipment and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, project progress, and equipment performance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance, or project execution.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, machinery, and engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and relevant engineering software.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment installation.
• Familiarity with project management and maintenance management systems will be an advantage.
• Understanding of quality control, health and safety standards, and engineering practices.
• PEC registration will be preferred.
