Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, machines, equipment, and systems.

• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.

• Use CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo to create and modify designs.

• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and stress/thermal analysis where required.

• Develop prototypes and conduct testing to verify product performance and reliability.

• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.

• Work with manufacturing, electrical, production, quality, and other engineering teams.

• Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, codes, and safety requirements.

• Support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical equipment.

• Select appropriate materials, components, tools, and manufacturing processes.

• Work with suppliers and contractors on technical requirements and equipment specifications.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product or equipment performance.

• Prepare reports, technical documentation, and project progress updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering principles.

• Experience with CAD and engineering design software.

• Understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and relevant industry standards.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Relevant industry experience is an advantage.
