We are looking for an ECDA-certified Mandarin Preschool Teacher with strong classroom experience to lead small-group Mandarin lessons for children aged 1.5 to 6 years, including parent-accompanied sessions.
As a Mandarin Preschool Teacher for our Intermediate Class, you will guide children's learning through both left-brain and right-brain development approaches. Our programmes combine interactive play, sensory stimulation, music, movement, memory training, and values-based character building. Lessons are designed to engage both child and parent, fostering strong home-school connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Mandarin lessons to preschool-aged children (1.5 to 6 years)
- Manage a small group (up to 6 children) in a nurturing, engaging classroom
- Update teaching materials monthly based on class progress
- Track and document each child's development outcomes
- Build and maintain strong parent-teacher partnerships
- Uphold hygiene and safety standards in the classroom
Who We're Looking For
Must-have:
- Fluent in Mandarin, with confident communication in front of parents
- ECDA-recognised early childhood diploma (e.g., DECCE-T Chinese)
- Minimum 3 years preschool classroom experience
- Comfortable with parent-accompanied classes
- Able to work at our East Coast location, including weekends
Bonus:
- HSK Level 5 or above
- Strong classroom leadership or mentoring experience
Work Schedule
- 5-day work week
- Option A: 3 weekdays + 2 weekends
- Option B: 4 weekdays + 1 weekend
- 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (includes 1-hour lunch break)
Salary
This role follows a tier-based salary progression tied to student contact hours per week:
- Probation (1 month): $3,500/month
- Tier 2 target (within 6 months): $4,800-$5,100/month
- Higher tiers available: Up to $6,800/month with increased class hours
