We are looking for a Manager, Venue Partnership, to seize opportunities ensuring optimal usage of venues and spaces as well as supporting services in the arts centre. The Manager will partner hirers and ensure the success of their productions at Esplanade. You will also support and execute strategies to reinforce positive relationships with various hirers and programme partners.
To manage and coordinate hirers requirements effectively and efficiently as well as facilitating onsite operational support and communication amongst relevant departments to fulfill our service delivery to our hirers, programme partners, and their customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
VENUES MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
- Support and execute overall strategies to ensure Esplanade remains the preferred venue of choice for hirers, presenters, sponsors, and touring productions, including increasing utilisation of venues and spaces and maximise revenue.
- Support new business opportunities and partnership models with hirers, helping to develop new venues/spaces for hire and to review the level of venue/support services offered.
- Meet department and individual sales target set.
- Review and propose improvements to frameworks and standard operating procedures (SOPs), including venue hire framework, rates and charges, policies and processes, contractual terms, and conditions when necessary.
HIRER MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
- Create demand for the centre by building awareness of Esplanade as the national performing arts centre including creating opportunities for collaboration and partnerships.
- Uphold, execute, improve, and initiate new operating policies and procedures to facilitate the successful and smooth running of hirers and partners productions and ensuring a seamless and exceptional Esplanade Experience, in tandem with changes in industry and organisational changes.
- Manage and develop portfolio of hirer and partner accounts, collaborating with the team to secure new accounts, cultivate networks and relationships and help ensure the accuracy, integrity and mutual implementation of contractual relationships, their terms and conditions and house rules.
- Curate hirers events to ensure that performances are in line with our vision as well as of a quality that befits an international performing arts centre.
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
- Apply all venue management systems, marketing, customer relationship management, and event reporting databases in a highly disciplined manner.
- Maintain organised event files and records for hirers and partners.
- Provide relevant information to or compile management reports and papers as and when necessary.
- Support HOD in annual departmental workplans, budgets and forecast revenues and expenditure.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A university degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, or related discipline (or equivalent working experience)
- 5 years experience in venue operations and venue sales as well as sales of support services and facilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills.
- Good understanding of arts centre operations.
- Required to manage events in the evenings/ weekends and Public Holidays.
- Salary range: $5,200 - $6,000
