Overview

Join the Value Driven Outcomes (VDO) office at NUHS, where data meets meaningful impact. In this dual-focus role, you will split your time equally between driving health services research (50%) and supporting operational analytics work (50%). You will collaborate with clinicians and healthcare professionals to generate insights that improve patient outcomes and organisational performance.

Key Responsilities

Research
You will partner with healthcare professionals to formulate research ideas, design studies, and analyse complex healthcare datasets using statistical and machine learning methods. Your work will contribute to conference presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications, representing NUHS on the broader research stage.

Operations
You will support the VDO office with descriptive analytics, quality improvement projects, and related administrative work, ensuring data-driven decision-making is embedded in day-to-day operations.

Requirements

PhD or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Proficiency in SQL and Python/R, with experience applying analytical frameworks to healthcare problems
Hands-on experience with Tableau and Microsoft Office applications
Strong expertise in health services research, applied statistics, study design, and outcome evaluation
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement AI/ML-driven solutions, including predictive modelling
Proven track record of independently managing end-to-end projects - from conceptualisation through to implementation
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
A problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
4-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage
