Your role is integral to developing and executing vendor management strategies that ensure streamlined manufacturing, repair, or logistics operations. You will contribute to complex projects that involve multiple business units, leveraging your expertise to resolve unique issues and drive operational improvements through innovative solutions and strategic collaboration as well as lead teams of Outsourced Operations Specialists, providing critical direction, oversight and accountability for results
Responsibilities:
- Leadership Responsibilities
- Leads a team of supply chain outsourced operations specialists
- Provides direction and oversight to support the teams success and performance
- Is accountable for employee engagement of the team
- Manages all matters of employment through the employee lifecycle
- Strategic Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and execution of vendor management strategies that ensure streamlined manufacturing, repair, or logistics operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within vendor management.
- Operational Responsibilities:
- Support complex projects involving vendor operations management across multiple business units.
- Manage vendor onboarding processes, ensuring alignment with company standards and expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Implement new vendor technologies and processes to improve service delivery.
- Analytical Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and analyses to resolve unique issues and improve vendor performance.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on vendor performance and project outcomes to senior management.
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for vendor optimization.
- Interpersonal/Collaborative Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and strategies for vendor management.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to improve team understanding of vendor management strategies.
Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience in managing 3PL vendors.
- Has led or is leading a small team.
- Possess strong communication and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
