Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the coordination and preparation for maintenance and repair of cylinder assets to ensure cylinder integrity for plant filling of high-purity electronic specialty gases (ESG).
- Ensure compliance with stringent safety, quality and regulatory standards while optimizing processes to ensure high efficiency in the ESG supply chain. This role is also responsible for overseeing and managing ESG supply chain and logistic arrangements to maximize process efficiency and productivity.
- Implement overall ESG supply chain activities that support business strategies adapting to changing market conditions to achieve revenue and profitability targets for country level.
- Direct engagement with forwarders, including Carriers, including full negotiation and selections.
- Documentation management and communication with stakeholders for products, packaging assets and freight.
- Responsible for booking of shipments in carrier system or portnet and follow through.
- Coordinate with transporters and internal functions (distribution, warehouse Operations) to ensure timely shipment, containers movement arrival schedules and cylinder integrity for filling.
- Manage and coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders for the maintenance and repair owned packaging assets. such as inspection, recertification, labeling, change of valves, or another other component servicing of the packaging.
- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements, such as application of correct labels, safety markings, barcodes, DOT, UN and local transport regulations. Ensure necessary cylinder caps, seals, protective packaging are in place.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics for safe handling, transport and delivery schedules.
- Ensure accuracy on Bill of Lading for custom declaration and clearance, including full and complete shipping records or any export permits preparation. Actively resolves any charges disputes/issues.
- Manage products responsibility including shipping document preparations/declarations to ensure all local, state and national regulations are complied with.
- Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison or evaluation of supply chain factors. Review with suppliers on performance metrics, provide performance feedback, discuss forecasts or changes.
- Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas such as sales, warehouse, quality assurance or distribution.
- Assist in sourcing initiatives across ASEAN in collaboration with the product management, strategic procurement and business team.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering, Maritime, or other related field
- Experience in international shipping trade, DG cargo handling experience preferred.
- Experience in forwarding, shipping line.
- Hands on experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP, ERP, EAM).
- Strong communications skills (effective presentations at all levels, negotiation, problem solving).
- Good ESG product knowledge on hazard classifications, chemical properties and compatibilities.
- Strong understanding of gas packaging and valve technology.
- Knowledge on IMDG, international and domestic freight terms.
