Job Description

About Indx

Indx is a Singapore-based services firm that embeds into growing SMEs and VC/PE backed-companies (S$2–20M revenue) to provide full stack finance services, from bookkeeping to CFO-level strategy as well as the adjacent operations support, incl. HR ops, sales ops and strategy support, blending seamlessly into existing team structures.

Ultimately, founders want to scale with confidence and clarity while focusing on what matters. We enable just that by providing the financial depth, operational rigor, and real-time visibility they need to lead the business in the right direction and to new heights.

After just over a year of operations, we have helped customers raise funds in record time, get acquired by listed companies, renegotiated key supplier contracts, declared record dividends, streamlined finance operations, redefined scalable data structures, reduced monthly close to T+4, provided real-time insights & dashboards and aligned a founder's vision with clear department & individual objectives and KPIs.

We are a nimble team of three and are now looking for the next 10x, high impact hire.

About Client Delivery

Client Delivery is everything. We put customer needs first. We do things well. We deliver results and we have high agency.

We provide value across two dimensions: vertically (financial depth) and horizontally (operational breadth).

Vertically, we cover every layer of the finance function, from bookkeeping to financial management, controllership, FP&A, and CFO-level advisory. Data creation and data integrity is the foundation of everything we do: clean invoice descriptions, accurate accruals, fast financial closes, timely management reports & insights, and strategic guidance where needed.

Horizontally, we extend into the operational functions that feed finance incl. HR operations, sales operations, contracts, pricing, and data governance. These functions are often managed in isolation, resulting in poor data quality, delayed P&L visibility, and decisions made without financial context. By operating across teams, we ensure accuracy at the source, before it reaches the ledger.

About The Role

We're looking for a Manager / Principal whose focus is on vertical delivery of services across our client portfolio including end-to-end financial reporting lifecycle, from monthly closing to management reporting, actual vs. budget analysis, payroll, compliance and ad-hoc financial and P&L analysis for clients etc.

This is not a back-office compliance role. You'll have autonomy over client deliverables while collaborating with the broader team on strategic initiatives, process improvement, and technology adoption. This position offers a perfect training ground to sharpen your finance skills, apply latest technology and process improvements across clients while delivering strategic value, shaping the future of our company.

What You'll Do

Own the finance function for a portfolio of clients

  • Take full responsibility for the financial accounts across multiple client entities & geographies, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to accounting standards
  • Handle balance sheet bookings, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and accrual-based accounting
  • Oversee accounts payables, accounts receivables, invoice management, payroll and payrun coordination
  • Manage the monthly close process and deliver management reports and dashboards

Ensure compliance and statutory reporting

  • Manage the preparation of Unaudited Financial Statements
  • Coordinate quarterly GST filings and annual compliance requirements
  • Liaise with external auditors, company secretaries, and regulators on behalf of clients

Be the trusted finance partner for founders

  • Attend internal and external meetings as the finance lead for your clients
  • Provide cashflow projections, budget tracking, and actual vs. budget variance analysis
  • Support investor reporting, board preparation, and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Coordinate with client teams on operational processes that flow into finance such as payroll, claims, vendor management, sales & contract data

Build and improve how we deliver

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, deployment of AI assisted workflows, improve accuracy, and reduce close times across the portfolio
  • Contribute to technology adoption and automation of repetitive workstreams
  • Help shape the Indx Way of delivering above expectations, creating meaningful impact and outcomes for our clients

You'll Likely Succeed If You Have

  • Professional qualification: Chartered Accountant (Singapore CA/CPA), ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • 5–10 years of experience in Client Accounting & Servicing, Transaction Advisory & Due Diligence, or Audit Experience having transitioned into an in-house finance role
  • You like numbers, have a strong attention to detail and obsess about doing things well
  • Proactive, independent, and comfortable operating with a high degree of agency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Bonus Attributes

  • Experience in a high-growth or startup environment - you're comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch
  • Exposure to various cloud based accounting software, and an interest in how technology and AI can improve financial processes & workflows
  • Commercial instinct, you're meticulous with numbers but curious about the businesses behind them and how they drive decision making
  • Experience in managing or mentoring team members

Basically, we're looking for an entrepreneurial accountant turned operator. You want to build a department, not just work in one. You see compliance as the foundation, not the ceiling, and you're excited about exposure to diverse problems.

Why Join INDX

  • Build & Lead: Shape and lead within a growing firm. This is a hands-on, high impact opportunity at the intersection of finance, operations and strategy
  • Real Impact: Work directly with founders and leadership teams across industries. Your work doesn't sit in a filing cabinet; it drives decisions
  • Clear Growth: The future of finance is changing rapidly and Indx provides you the perfect playground to grow professional and sharpen your skills
  • Operator Culture: We've built and scaled companies across the region. We value trust, clarity, meaningful work, accountability, ownership, and direct, clear and open communication where feedback drives excellence
  • Flexibility: Hybrid work arrangements that supports location flexibility
  • Modern Stack: An organisation that actively invests in AI-enabled systems, real-time dashboards, and process automation - you won't be stuck in spreadsheets

To Apply

Please submit your CV and a cover letter, sharing:

  1. Why you're interested in joining Indx and what gets you excited
