ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Analyst to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will play a role in supporting venture capital and impact investing in venture and growth stage companies activities across environmental and social sectors. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage deeply in the investment process, from conducting rigorous market and company research to assisting with portfolio monitoring and impact assessments. You will work closely with a lean, experienced team in a dynamic environment, gaining hands-on exposure to financial analysis, deal sourcing, legal processes, and fund management. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for impact-driven investments, eager to build a meaningful career in the investment industry.

Job Responsibilities

1. Investment Research & Analysis

. Build and maintain financial models and perform valuations.

. Conduct market, sector, and company research, including understanding industry dynamics, key players, and sector strategies, to support investment decisions.

. Support and manage due diligence by gathering data, identifying risks, and summarizing findings.

. Analyse key financial metrics and drivers affecting deals and portfolio companies.

2. Portfolio, Impact & Fund Support

. Assist in negotiation preparation and document key legal and structuring terms.

. Collaborate with senior team members and legal advisors to ensure compliance and alignment with fund objectives.

. Support investment execution, approval processes, portfolio monitoring, and value creation initiatives.

3. Team & Operational Support

. Support in sourcing, screening and analysing new investment opportunities.

. Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity.

. Build and maintain relationships with industry experts, advisors, and partners

4. Project Management & Team Collaboration

. Manage projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.

. Prepare clear reports, presentations, and investment memos.

. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

. Support junior colleagues, contribute to team culture, and seek continuous improvement.

. Identify and resolve issues proactively while demonstrating initiative and professionalism.

Job Requirements

Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Biotechnology, or related disciplines

A professional qualification, such as CFA and/or a postgraduate qualification, such as MBA, would be highly regarded.

At least 3 years of experience, track record, or interest in the sectors of healthcare and education, sustainability, or climate and energy

Highly numerate with knowledge of financial analysis and valuation methodologies

Experience in due diligence from a financial, accounting, or operational perspective

Strong business acumen with a passion for investments

Strong communication, both verbal and written, and project management skills

Inquisitive, resourceful, meticulous, responsible, and self-motivated

A self-starter who can work effectively in a dynamic corporate environment

A team player who is also able to work independently in small teams and across cultures
