Job Description

The Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) is a not-for-profit organisation established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). We convene decision-makers across finance, technology, and policy to shape the future of the financial system through global partnerships that drive innovation and create positive impact worldwide.

Public Sector Engagement

  • Support the planning and execution of GFTN's public sector engagement strategy across governments, regulators, central banks, international organisations, and policy partners.
  • Draft, coordinate, and manage public sector invitations for GFTN forums
  • Track public sector participation, manage follow-ups, coordinate responses, and work with internal teams to identify appropriate speaking, meeting, and engagement opportunities for confirmed public sector attendees.
  • Liaise with policy partners and government stakeholders on forum participation, session involvement, programme alignment, and broader areas of collaboration.
  • Support government engagement for GFTN Solutions on public and private sector advisory work including regional public sector projects, capacity-building programmes, and policy-focused initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of public sector outreach, stakeholder preferences, engagement status, and follow-up actions.

2. Content Curation and Policy Support

  • Work closely with GFTN internal teams to shape public sector-facing sessions, roundtables, workshops, and closed-door discussions.
  • Provide inputs on policy themes, session topics, speaker profiles, and discussion formats based on public sector priorities and global regulatory developments.
  • Identify suitable public sector speakers, moderators, facilitators, and participants for GFTN forums and initiatives.
  • Support the preparation of session briefs, synopses, talking points, moderator notes, participant lists, and post-session summaries where required.
  • Contribute to the development of balanced and substantive policy discussions across areas of expertise such as digital assets, tokenisation, AI, payments, financial inclusion, SME finance, regtech, suptech, sustainable finance, and other emerging areas of financial technology.
  • Support the drafting and coordination of policy outputs, reports, roundtable summaries, and follow-up materials arising from GFTN-led or partner-led discussions.

3. Protocol at GFTN Forums & Events

  • Provide on-the-ground staffing support for senior public sector attendees during major forums, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with customer success, speaker management, content, marketing, and event operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of public sector participation.
  • Support the planning and execution of speaker participations, VIP exhibition tours, bilateral meeting requests, sponsor-related government engagement requests, and other on-site public sector engagements, ensuring appropriate sensitivity and protocol considerations.
  • Liaise with public sector offices before, during, and after events to coordinate schedules, logistics, materials, photo clearances, and follow-up actions.

4. Subject Matter Expertise

  • Take ownership of one or more subject matter areas relevant to GFTN's public sector and policy agenda, such as AI, tokenisation, digital assets, quantum computing, payments, inclusive finance, SME finance, sustainable finance, regtech, or suptech.
  • Track global policy, regulatory, and market developments in the assigned subject matter area and provide timely insights to relevant GFTN teams.
  • Support the development of GFTN's thought leadership, forum programming, advisory work, and public sector engagement strategy in the assigned subject matter area.
  • Help public sector stakeholders identify how their priorities, policy work, and institutional expertise can be reflected in GFTN's forums, dialogues, reports, and initiatives.
  • Provide internal briefings and inputs to content, partnerships, solutions, marketing, and leadership teams as required.

Skill Sets Required

  • Strong understanding of government relations, public sector engagement, policy outreach, or stakeholder management, preferably in financial services, fintech, digital economy, international organisations, or public policy.
  • Ability to engage professionally with senior public sector stakeholders, including government officials, regulators, central banks, international organisations, and policy institutions.
  • Strong judgement in helping public sector leaders and institutions identify relevant thought leadership opportunities and appropriate roles within forum programmes, roundtables, workshops, and policy initiatives.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to draft formal invitations, briefing notes, session synopses, stakeholder updates, talking points, and policy summaries.
  • Strong policy research and analytical skills, with the ability to assess regulatory developments and translate them into practical insights for internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across internal teams, including content, marketing, customer success, speaker management, event operations, partnerships, and solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to track multiple workstreams, manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure timely follow-through.
  • High attention to detail, especially in managing senior stakeholder participation, protocol arrangements, invitation tracking, event logistics, and briefing materials.
  • Ability to operate with discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive public sector relationships, high-level engagements, and partner requests.
  • Familiarity with key fintech and policy themes such as AI, tokenisation, digital assets, payments, financial inclusion, SME finance, sustainable finance, regtech, suptech, or digital public infrastructure would be an advantage.
