Management Accountant

Role: Cost Management and Analysis

Purpose of the role

The main purposes of this role are to:

• Ensure accurate and timely periodic closing of COGS and SG&A accounts.

• Provide effective support to the Senior Accounting Manager in validating the COGS and SG&A accounts for periodic reporting.

• Deliver insightful monthly performance analysis to support understanding and decision-making by senior management.

• Maximize efficiency and identify cost-reduction opportunities through close collaboration with other functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for Month-end closing of Product and Other COGS, SG&A, Commodities and Technical services profit centers.

  • Validate and ensure accuracy and completeness of Product & Other COGS accounts, and SG&A.

  • Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of P&L for Commodities and Technical services profit centers.

  • Maintain schedules and prepare journal entries for accruals, adjustments and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) allocation.

  • Validate inventory balances and maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Prepare monthly variance analysis of SG&A and foreign exhange accounts against prior periods and forecast.

  • Review vendor invoices related to other COGS and price adjustments for accuracy.

  • Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets for SG&A.

• Systems master data management - Perform SAP master data maintenance for:

  • Product cost and Intercompany Prices

  • Vendor and Customer master data

• Drive SAP and other process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and controls.

• Maintain and update documentation and process flowcharts of supply chain and related accounting processes.

• Support ad-hoc accounting projects or duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accountancy, or Finance.

• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in financial or management accounting within MNC environments.

• Strong foundation in accounting fundamentals, with the ability to apply principles to cost management, analysis, and reporting.

• Highly self-motivated with a positive and proactive attitude.

• Meticulous, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLookup/Xlookup, Power Query, Power Pivot)

• Experience with SAP, Power BI and TM1.

• Strong organizational skills and able to manage tight reporting deadlines.
