Maintenance Supervisor

Salary up to $2800

Job Responsibilities

To support the maintenance and repair of production machinery, equipment and company facilities to ensure smooth and safe operations in the food manufacturing environment.

A. Machinery & Equipment Maintenance

• Assist in performing routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and processing equipment
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical issues on machines such as mixers, conveyors, packaging lines, pumps, ovens and other plant equipment
• Support equipment calibration, adjustments and performance checks
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, parts replacement, and machine downtime

B. Facilities and General Maintenance

• Carry out repairs and maintenance of company fixtures, fittings, utilities and building facilities (e.g. lighting, plumbing, shelving, doors)
• Assist in installation, setup or relocation of factory equipment or utilities
• Monitor condition of tools, equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation

C. Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

• Follow workplace safety guidelines, lock-out/tag-out procedures and equipment isolation practices
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with food safety standards (ISO, FSSC) and internal hygiene requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the maintenance workshop and work areas

D. Reporting & Coordination

• Report equipment issues, breakdowns and potential risks to the Supervisor promptly
• Update maintenance logs, service records and work orders accurately
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize disruption during maintenance work

Work Hours:

• Full-time: Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Standby required for Saturday overtime. Off-in-Lieu provided

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering fields
• 2–5 years hands-on experience in machinery maintenance, preferably in food production or manufacturing
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical and/or automation systems
• Able to lead small maintenance tasks and independent work assignments
• Experience with ISO, FSSC and food safety compliance is a plus
• Liaise with external vendors for all preventive maintenance and repair works
• Mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
• Basic electrical knowledge (advantage)
• Ability to read mechanical drawings/manuals
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Factory production environment
• Requires standing, lifting, bending and use of tools/equipment
• May involve work in cold rooms
• Occasional weekend or after-hours maintenance work
