Hawksman Technology is currently working with a global crypto-native quantitative trading firm looking to hire a top C++ Low Latency Software Developer.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with quantitative researchers and traders to design, iterate, and optimise low-latency trading systems across crypto markets (centralised and decentralised venues)
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ components used in latency-critical trading, execution, and market data systems
- Optimise system performance with a strong focus on latency, throughput, and reliability in highly volatile, 24/7 trading environments
- Contribute to the build-out and enhancement of real-time trading infrastructure, simulation frameworks, and back-testing systems tailored to digital assets
- Integrate with exchange APIs, on-chain data sources, and blockchain infrastructure where required
- Monitor production systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement robust fixes and improvements
- Collaborate with global engineering, quant, and trading teams on cross-region architecture, tooling, and infrastructure initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience (Master's degree desirable)
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ with a deep understanding of low-level systems programming
- 3+ years of professional experience developing latency-sensitive or performance-critical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in fast-paced, collaborative, and globally distributed teams
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with researchers, traders, and other stakeholders
