  • Provide timely notification to all relevant parties on bookings and coordinate with stakeholders on subsequent changes.
  • Track shipping schedules, perform all required system-related updates, and resolve issues that may affect shipping, vessel slippage risk, and deliveries to the customers.
  • Act as the primary escalation point of contact for all operational issues raised by both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process freight payments and resolve any payment disputes with vendors timely.
  • Ensure completeness of accrual of freight cost at the end month.
  • Develop and manage relationships with vendors such as shipping lines, 3PLs, and internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate and handle claims relating to transportation and shipping.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, identify any process gaps, and propose improvement initiatives to reduce costs and/or improve service levels.
  • Participate in performance-related meetings and provide constructive feedback where relevant.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Determined problem solver with high-level attention to detail, strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise workload in a changing environment and within tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Exposure to SAP systems will also be beneficial.
