Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all lifting operations for building and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and review detailed lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments for complex lifting activities.
  • Ensure all lifting operations comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and project safety requirements.
  • Oversee the installation, climbing, dismantling, and maintenance of luffing cranes.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, crane operators, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with approved lifting plans and safety procedures.
  • Monitor crane operations, load charts, and lifting capacities to prevent overloading or unsafe practices.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities and third-party inspectors for crane inspections, certifications, and approvals.
  • Investigate incidents related to lifting operations and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
  • Maintain proper documentation, including lifting plans, permits, inspection records, and reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to lifting supervisors, riggers, and signalmen.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in lifting operations, preferably in building and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with luffing cranes (erection, climbing, and dismantling).
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and lifting operation standards.
  • Certified Lifting Engineer / Appointed Person (Lifting) under Singapore regulations is preferred.
  • Familiar with crane load charts, rigging practices, and lifting gear inspection requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills to work with multiple stakeholders on-site.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment and handle multiple lifting activities.

Working Location:

  • Initially based at the West office.
  • Will be deployed to the Bayfront site office upon project commencement.
