What The Role Is
You will be part of the Housing and Development Board's Property Legal (Resale) Department, one of two departments within its Legal Group handling the conveyance of HDB residential flats. You will assist, notably, in providing in-house legal advice and acting in conveyancing transactions to ensure all legal requirements are met and that the interests of parties are protected.
What You Will Be Working On
Your role and responsibilities as a Legal Counsel will include, but are not limited to:
- Handling conveyancing work including acting for the Board and flat owners/purchasers in conveyancing transactions relating to the sale and purchase of HDB resale flats, transmission, notice of death and other property related transactions.
- Providing in-house legal advice in relation to HDB flats, Executive Condominium Housing Scheme and other HDB properties including accompanying policies.
- Advising on and reviewing terms and conditions of sale, drafting and vetting conveyancing documents.
- Working on digitalization initiatives to streamline and enhance conveyancing processes.
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams in a wide range of interesting and challenging projects.
What We Are Looking For
Key Competencies
- A good degree in Law.
- Admission as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant conveyancing experience preferred, with demonstrated expertise in property law.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High degree of integrity, credibility and independence.
- Highly motivated, dependable and resourceful.
- Good interpersonal skills and a team player / contributor.
- Problem solver with strong analytical skills, and capable of anticipating problems and implementing pragmatic solutions in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Good written, oral and presentation skills.
