We are partnering with a well-established international organisation with a strong regional presence across Southeast Asia seeking to appoint a Legal Counsel to support its regional corporate planning, legal and compliance function.
This role sits within a regional corporate management team and provides legal support not only to the Singapore entity, but also to group companies across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors on a broad range of corporate, commercial and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements and legal documents for local and regional operations
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions
- Support compliance initiatives, including antitrust, anti-corruption and data protection frameworks
- Assist with litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution matters, working alongside external counsel where required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, manage and mitigate legal and compliance risks
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise the business on potential impacts to operations
- Undertake ad-hoc legal and corporate tasks as required by the regional management team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law
- Qualified to practice in Singapore (Singapore Bar admission required)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience gained in a law firm or in-house legal role
- Solid experience in contract drafting, review and negotiation
- Good understanding of corporate and regulatory compliance matters
