Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation:Wash, peel, chop, and measure ingredients for dishes, and assist with basic cooking tasks such as slicing or boiling.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance:Ensure the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and utensils, is clean and organised by following cleaning schedules and food safety protocols.
  • Stock Management:Assist with receiving, storing, and organising inventory, as well as checking stock levels to ensure sufficient ingredients for shifts.
  • Hygiene and Safety:Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, and report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Support to Kitchen Staff:Provide assistance to cooks and kitchen supervisors with various tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal service.
  • Waste Disposal:Correctly dispose of kitchen waste, including cleaning garbage cans, according to procedures.
