Responsibilities:
- Instrumental and lead the planning and hands-on execution of:
i.) Deployment, installation, and configuration of Nutanix core products
ii.) SW/FW Upgrades and patching
iii.) DR planning, setting, restoration
iv.) VM lifecycle Management (creation, deletion, cloning, snapshot etc.)
v.) V2V and P2V Migrations
vi.) Capacity planning & reporting
vii.) DR drills
- Perform hands-on installation, configuration, and upgrades of Nutanix hardware and software components.
- Handle VM lifecycles (creation, cloning,snapshots, migrations) and manage vSwitch and network configurations.
- Execute V2V (VMware to AHV) or P2V migrations to shift workloads to Nutanix platforms.
- Set up, maintain, and test Disaster Recovery & Backup plans and data protection, frequently using tools like Veeam or Nutanix native solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, storage, and networking issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related studies.
- At least 10 to 15 years of technical hands-on role in an IT infrastructure team of a IT professional services consulting firm and IT infra operations support environment, with proven experience and tactical stakeholder management skills in solution design & architectural, troubleshooting & escalations handling.
- Preferably at least 7 years of experience with Virtualised IT environments, with advanced technical mastery of Nutanix HCI, AOS, AHV, Prism management, and VMware stacks (ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN), specializing in complex deployments and cross-platform migrations or other converged or hyper-converged platforms.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate routine tasks.
- Knowledge of network protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs).
- Able to independently analyse and diagnose highly complex problems across different platforms.
- Strong ability for documentation, presentation, business meeting organising & facilitation with post-action management.
- Customer-centric approach, excellent verbal and written communication skills with proactiveness that leads to outstanding business relationships.
- Certifications (Preferred): Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and ITILcertifications.
